Understanding Green Card in USA
When traveling to the US one must have a visa. The Visas can be obtained by many ways. Anywhere from temporary to permanent residency and the appeal for immigrants to come to America whether is for personal or business practices is on the rise! When entering US soil the traveler has already been through a couple of processes.
Nonimmigrant Visa or temporary visa- These are for people who will be visiting for short periods:
Students, businessmen, spouses from other countries, workers from other countries, religious workers, skilled workers, sportsmen, tourists, transit tourists all qualify to get temporary visas.
The nonimmigrant visa holders cannot stay long in the U.S. if they require indefinite stay they need to get a green card by applying for AOS with the help of a U.S. Citizen or already existing holder of green card in USA.
The Visa Wavier Program
There are 23 countries that qualify this program will allow those of you who are only visiting the country for 90 days to do so without receiving a visa. Some of these cities consist of Austria, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
If your country is not in this list you need to get a green card in USA to stay indefinitely or at least a temporary visa to travel in the U.S.
Visa Denials
What can you do if you are denied a visa? There are many ways to aid in your process; however, just because you apply doesn’t guarantee an approval.
If you have a letter sent in for referral for further appeal from a stable U.S. Citizen or green card holder on solid grounds your denial could be reviewed; again there is no guarantee
Over the course of time it has been difficult to seek passage to foreign countries and though it was a little easier and of course less paper work it was a privilege to be able to leave your country for any reason. While today it still has many rules and long waits. It is necessary to protect all that live in U.S. from those who intend harm. Though that doesn’t give much comfort you can get rest assured that you can sleep well at night. Planning a head for traveling to U.S. is smart and giving the time for approval or denial is important. After all just because you fill in the application doesn’t mean you will get accepted for a green card.
